What did you want to be while growing up?

I wanted to be a teacher and a cake artist.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The best piece of advice that I’ve received since starting my business is not to care what others do and to focus on myself and my business.

How do you define success?

I define success by always doing my best and being the best I can be. I have learned not to compare myself with others and I have become successful by beating to my own drum.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned since starting out your business?

I’ve learned not to care what others think and say about me. I am successful because of all of the hard work and original designs I make and the feedback I receive.

What is your go-to motivational quote?

"If You Are Working On Something That You Really Care About, You Don’t Have To Be Pushed. The Vision Pulls You.” – Steve Jobs

What made you interested in starting your business?

I loved making beaded jewelry and decided that I wanted to sell it as I was going to college in the fall and needed to make some extra money. I never thought that it would become this amazing brand. Almost two years later and now a sophomore in college I continue to come up with new designs. I am still selling bracelets as my brand is expanding. My  favorite part about being the owner and designer is creating stacks with you! I love to see the joy that my jewelry brings to others.

Which women inspire you?

I am inspired by my grandmother first and foremost, she is the CEO of her own engineering company and seeing the success that she has had and her determination and all of the connections that she has made is inspiring. Some small business owners that inspire me are Liv Schreiber of Live with Liv LLC, Corey Paige Bloomberg of Corey Paige Designs, Lindsi Lane of Lindsi Lane Style, Marni Harvey of Style on the Rise, Cara Woodhouse of Cara Woodhouse Interiors and so many more women!

How do you overcome moments of self-doubt?

I just need to remind myself that I am doing this because I love it. It is therapeutic for me and I am doing great.

How do you handle situations where you feel creatively blocked?

I take a step back and will watch a show on Netflix and go on Instagram and just take a break. I also have recently gotten into drawing and Procreate. I have recently been accepted as a Brand Channel on GIPHY so my GIFS and stickers are available on all social media platforms and I have used them on my stories on Instagram and Facebook!

What has been the most rewarding thing since starting out?

I love seeing people wearing my jewelry. One of the best things is when I am out with family and I will see people wearing my jewelry. I also love seeing the reactions when people get the jewelry.

What advice would you give to other women trying to create their own business or following their passion?

I would say to follow your own dream. I would also say not to copy others.

What is your creative process like?

I spend a lot of time researching for the best beads and supplies that I can. It took a long time but I can finally say that I am super happy with my suppliers and my beads! When I get my beads I will take some time to just admire them and then think of color combinations. Then I will post and customers will contact me and then, together, we will create the best stacks!

What are some of your goals moving forward for your company?

I really want to create an amazing website and to be in more stores. I also really want to grow my social media and followers and hopefully get to 10K before 2021, I am almost at 4000 now!
